The golden sun shone brightly for a golden celebration last week when students and staff from Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy attended the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Presentation at Buckingham Palace. The event was an even bigger affair as it celebrated the scheme's 60th diamond anniversary celebrations.

On 16th May 2016, Principal, Paula Arrowsmith and Community Engagement Coordinator, Mary Eaton from Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy in Walsall attended a once in a life time Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) Gold Award Presentation at Buckingham Palace, London. At the event Paula was presented with a special plaque from the DofE Charity by celebrity supporter Steve Backshall, acknowledging the academy’s commitment to running the DofE and thanking it for giving young people the opportunity to transform their lives.
