Bolingbroke students reach new heights

Forty-five Year 7 students from Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy have had the opportunity to go to ‘North West Face’ in Warrington over a period of three weeks to try their hand at rock climbing.

The exciting experience was a new one for most of the students and the sessions were led by a qualified instructor who encouraged them to go further, higher, and faster each time they took on the challenge.

Miss Belford, PE Teacher, who organised the sessions said:

“Every student showed impressive perseverance skills and, even though there were some who were afraid of heights, they all gave it maximum effort. We have more exciting adventures planned for the next outdoor education programme, all of which will develop our students’ confidence, character and team work skills.”
