Continuing to 'drive-up' school improvement at Ormiston Denes Academy

Ormiston Denes Academy is delighted to announce that a Director of Mathematics has been appointed to continue the school’s improvement.
Mrs Gledhill joins Ormiston Denes Academy after teaching for ten years in schools across Norfolk. As a nationally certified Lead Practitioner, Mrs Gledhill has considerable experience in transforming teaching and learning for understanding in mathematics, as well as improving examination outcomes. During her time at Attleborough Academy Mrs Gledhill oversaw over a thirty per cent rise in the proportion of students gaining A* - C grades in mathematics.
Mrs Gledhill said:
"This is an exciting opportunity for me. I believe that every child deserves equal opportunities to succeed in education. Mathematics is challenging, interesting, beautiful and extremely useful! Everyone can learn to do Mathematics - my aim is that all our students enjoy and feel confident with Mathematics and achieve the highest grades."
