Ormiston Maritime Academy students celebrate improved GCSE results

Students at Ormiston Maritime Academy in Grimsby are celebrating after receiving their GCSE results.
The academy is delighted to see an improvement in results across the board with students making progress in key subjects, including a strong performance from students in English this year.
The academy which is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted saw some fantastic individual success stories, including:
- Chelsea Blease achieved 2 A*s, 6 A’s and 2 B’s
- Jake Stead achieved 4 A*s, 2 A’s and 3 B’s
- Ellie Booth achieved 1 A*, 7 A’s, 1 B and a C
- Anna Wroblewska achieved 6 A’s and 4 B’s
Kevin Gallacher, Principal at Maritime said:
“We are very proud of our students and they are living proof that the harder you work the better you will do. These results show that the Academy is making sustainable improvements and I would like to thank our dedicated team of staff and Governors who have worked tirelessly to help support our students.
“We wish all our year 11s every success in their future pathways.”
