The Norfolk academy achieved a 100% pass rate across all A Level courses.

This year also saw the academy achieve its strongest ever academic A Level performance, with almost double the amount of students completing A Levels and consistently higher grades across the board.

Over the past year, the work of the teaching team at the academy was complemented by initiatives offered by its sponsor, Ormiston Academies Trust, who appointed an ‘Access Champion’, Simon Pedley to help students navigate the university application process and raise their aspirations.

As part of his work, Simon delivers lectures and workshops on Oxbridge and Russell Group applications and encourages students to develop skills and experiences to help them stand out and access top universities.

The academy which is rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted saw some fantastic individual success stories, including:

  • Elliot Hunter gained A* in Biology, Triple Distinction* in Performing Arts and B grades in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Elliot is completing a gap year in Ormiston Victory’s science department before he leaves to study Chemical Engineering.
  • We are also thrilled for Rachel Hondora who was won a place to study Law with A grades in English Literature and History and B grades in Philosophy and Ethics.
  • Results for students studying Level 3 Childcare were also exceptional, with 100% gaining triple Distinction* including Amy Wooldridge who has won a place at the University of East Anglia to study Nursing and Rebecca Lake who will proceed to complete a degree in Childhood Studies & Psychology.

Principal of Ormiston Victory Academy, Naomi Palmer, said“I am really proud to have seen such great success stories at our sixth form and we offer our sincere congratulations to every student and their families at Ormiston Victory. We look forward to keeping in touch with our alumni as they continue with their studies or begin their careers.”

Chief Executive of Ormiston Academies Trust, Toby Salt, said: “It is our absolute priority as a Trust to ensure that every student fulfils their potential, no matter what their background, and key to this is raising students' aspirations. We are thrilled that Ormiston Victory Academy is continuing to make progress with some fantastic student achievements this year.”
