Rising future footy star amidst Endeavour students
Posted: 3 Jun 2016
Year 10 student at Ormiston Endeavour Academy (OEA) Dylan Crowe is making a name for himself with the England Under-15 team and could one day go all the way to the top.
Dylan won the chance to play for England by beating off tough competition at a selection camp last August and has since competed in international games against the USA, Turkey, having recently returned from the Delle Nazioni tournament in Italy.
The team made a promising start at the tournament beating Italy 3-2 but unfortunately the team were unlucky and lost to Qatar, putting them second in their group with four points. A creditable achievement and real opportunity for Dylan to showcase his skill and talent on the world stage.
Dylan said: “It is was an honour playing for my country and a great experience playing against world class teams and world class players my age. Only one in 10,000 young people gets this opportunity, which makes my family and friends proud too.”
Christine Woods, Principal at OEA, added: “Dylan is a great player and fully deserved his place with the team. He has worked tremendously hard to be in the position he is in and we are thrilled to support him.”
“The school puts a big focus on achievements both inside and outside the school, ensuring we encourage students to pursue their passions in all fields. We all wish him luck for his upcoming games.”
