Dalwardin Babu, OBE
Special Advisor, Race Relations and Community Safety
After 30 years’ service working across the UK's most diverse communities, Dal was awarded the OBE in 2010 for services to Police and Communities; the London High Sheriff Award for work with young people in 2011 and London Peace Award for Community Engagements in 2011.

He was the first chair of the National Association of Muslim Police working with Home Secretaries, Chief Constables and Community Leaders.
Since leaving the police, Dal has focused his time and energy on the next generation and community empowerment. Alongside his work with OAT Dal also supports schools in Tottenham to promote cross-institutional working, to motivate and promote student voice through School Councils and to deliver a community enrichment programme.
