Responsible to: 
Vice Principal / Cover Manager and works under the general direction of a class teacher when supervising lessons.
34hrs a week, Fixed term contract until July 2020 in the first instance
Salary/salary scale: 
Point 7-11, which equates to £15,196 - £16,449 per annum.

We actively promote development of the whole child, as well as ensuring they can access a broad and balanced experience in and out of the curriculum. Only 25 minutes from Norwich, and within easy reach of the coast, the academyl is based in Martham, a large village hub set in the middle of stunning landscape.

As a result of the current post holder moving on with a teaching career we are offering an opportunity for an aspiring teacher to gain knowledge, skills and experience to progress onto a teacher training programme. The successful candidate will be a Graduate or working towards a degree who is considering a career in Teaching.

As well as covering lessons, the aspiring teacher/cover supervisor will gain an insight into many other areas of the academy including pastoral care. The aspiring teacher will be supported by a personal mentor and will be able to spend some time in the subject area that they are considering.

This role will include the supervision of whole classes to cover short-term absence of teachers and to allow them to carry out their professional duties.

The aspiring teacher/cover supervisor will be encouraged and supported to play a full part in the life of the academy, including extra-curricular activities.

• Hard working, organised and resilient.
