We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead our collaborative family of academies through the next phase of development.
Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) is a not-for-profit multi-academy trust, sponsoring thirty primary and secondary academies since 2008.  Across our network we have academies from Runcorn to the Isle of Wight with a concentration in the Midlands and East Anglia.

OAT is part of Ormiston Trust, a national charity formed in 1969 to improve the life-chances of children and young people so they can fulfil their potential and lead happy and productive adult lives.

Our vision is that all young people acquire the academic, social and practical skills to lead a successful and fulfilling life and we are determined to become the Trust that makes the biggest difference. OAT academies share the Ormiston Academies Trust ethos of ensuring every child reaches their full potential through outstanding teaching and learning.

The new Chief Executive Officer, working with the Board of Trustees, executive team and school leaders, will build a strategy that focuses on controlled growth, school improvement and strong corporate governance.  With the introduction of a new regional model, wider curriculum development and a broadening portfolio of academies, this is an exciting time to be joining the Trust.

You will bring leadership excellence from within the education/schools sector, those sectors working with the education/public sector or more commercial sector where you have an empathy and understanding of the challenges of leading large and complex multi-stakeholder organisations.   As a high profile role, political awareness, an appreciation of reputation and brand management and policy understanding are crucial facets of the post.  You will be experienced in strategic financial management and partnership building, with an ability to engage credibly with our OAT Principals, the DfE and other external stakeholders, the successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who brings drive, energy, charisma and commitment to lead the vision for the Trust.

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a Trust that has transformed itself in the last five years and is ready for the next stage of the journey to become the leading academy trust in school to school support, transforming lives by improving, developing and supporting our family of academies
