We are recruiting governors and chairs of governors to be included on our database of Ormiston governors for appointment as and when vacancies arise on our governing bodies.

Ormiston Academies Trust is a multi-academy sponsor with a mission to transform the life chances of the young people and their families in the academies we support. Working in areas of deprivation, Ormiston academies face many challenges and require high calibre, committed governors to support them on their journey of improvement and transformation.

With 30 academies in the network, Ormiston is seeking people who share the ethos and values of the Trust and who can offer leadership, experience as well as the right level of challenge and support to our academies.

If this is you, or if you are interested in becoming an Ormiston governor, we would like to hear from you. If you are successful in achieving entry onto our database you will be invited to attend an induction programme and subsequently benefit from ongoing development support.

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff including governors to share this commitment. Before your appointment as governor is confirmed you will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check (or provide details of your current CRB).
