Ormiston Denes is a thriving and ambitious academy, rapidly moving towards Ofsted Outstanding. We are looking to appoint a highly versatile individual to manage our Internal Exclusion provision and support students’ successful integration back into the academy.

You will be joining a well-resourced, supportive academy full of excellent practitioners, keen to share best practice and continue moving forward. We also work collaboratively with other Ormiston Academies, both locally and nationally. This ensures we are at the leading edge of the latest developments and are able to deliver the highest quality career professional development, and provide progression opportunities within the Trust.

The successful candidate will integrate our therapeutic support and interventions centre with our reflection room consequence provision for our students who have been internally excluded, with a view to secure long term change and access to learning to improve student outcomes. This will involve a restorative practice approach, coupled with a strategic overview and evaluation of our intervention offer, quality assurance of the reflection room curriculum and management of integration caseloads to ensure ongoing high quality outreach support. The post holder will ensure these collective approaches enable students at risk of exclusion to successfully reintegrate in mainstream lessons, overcome prior disadvantage and achieve the best possible outcomes.

If you are flexible, supportive and understand the needs of young people, we would like to hear from you. You should be able to develop a range of strategies to promote a good attitude to learning in and around the academy, along with experience of restorative justice and corrective behaviour approaches with young people.

We are looking for an individual who:
• Is innovative, self-motivating and able to inspire others.
• Has the highest expectations for the attainment of all young people.
• Enjoys working as part of a team to ensure the success of all.
• Is driven to relentlessly remove barriers to students’ success.

In return Ormiston Denes Academy will offer you:
• A thriving, innovative learning community, committed to excellence.
• A supportive, welcoming community of professionals.
• Extensive development and collaboration opportunities, throughout the Ormiston network.
