We are seeking to appoint two Learning Support Assistants to support students with additional learning needs. The roles will complement the professional work of teachers by supporting students within the classroom setting and taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under supervision. A proportion of the timetable will involve working one-to-one with a student with Down’s Syndrome, taking small groups for interventions such as reading in addition to making resources.

Excellent communication skills, the ability to work co-operatively and to develop positive relationships are essential for this role. Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs is advantageous.
