Exciting leadership opportunity at vibrant Norfolk Academy.

As a result of the promotion of the current post-holder, Flegg High Ormiston Academy is seeking to recruit an outstanding Vice-Principal from September 2019 to assist in leading the next phase of the Academy’s improvement journey.

This role will provide an exceptional opportunity for an aspiring Principal to develop the full repertoire of school leadership skills.

Flegg High Ormiston Academy is a lively and vibrant 11-16 academy of around 800 students located in the busy village hub of Martham, 25 minutes east of Norwich. The Academy works closely with a range of partners and local providers ensuring that as an institute it continues to develop. In February 2018, Flegg joined Ormiston Academies Trust and is benefitting from the support that being in a multi-academy trust brings. This, coupled with the appointment of a new Principal in September 2018 means that this is an exciting time to join Flegg as it embraces change whilst continuing its own strong traditions.

The successful applicant will be an inspiring, optimistic and resilient school leader with a relentless commitment to raising the achievement of every learner.

Prospective applicants are welcome to visit the academy and meet the Principal in advance of submitting an application. Please contact the Principal’s PA Diane Spooner on 01493 749207 or email principalsoffice@fleggoa.co.uk

The Vice-Principal role is critical to the successful operation of the Academy. The post-holder will support and assist the Principal with all aspects of school organisation at both management and strategic levels, including deputising for the Principal as required. The vice Principal will also lead on significant areas of the Academy including whole school improvement, student engagement and safeguarding.

Flegg High Ormiston Academy is committed to safeguarding children; successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
