National Director of Performance and Data
Ian leads performance and data across Ormiston. He leads our data strategy, giving our leaders greater insight into the performance and quality of education across our schools, so they can continually improve outcomes for our students.
Prior to joining Ormiston in 2024, Ian was His Majesty’s Inspector at Ofsted for five years, leading inspections of maintained schools and academies. He also served as a Specialist Adviser on Policy Quality and Training at Ofsted, where he delivered training at the inspectorate’s national conferences.
Before joining Ofsted, he held senior leadership roles in several large secondary schools, including as Vice Principal at Chipping Campden School and Deputy Headteacher at The Buckingham School.
