There is a proud atmosphere at Ormiston Bushfield Academy this morning as sixth form students collected their A-level and vocational qualifications, celebrating the culmination of two years of hard work, dedication and perseverance.
Particular successes included:
- 100% A-C* in English Language and Literature
- 95% A-C* in history
- 89% A-C* in mathematics
- 84% Distinction*-Distinction in ICT
Students, staff and families have come together to celebrate these achievements, with many students now progressing to their first-choice universities, highly skilled employment opportunities and prestigious apprenticeship programmes.
While all students should be proud of their accomplishments, several students achieved particularly outstanding results:
- Karma achieved A*, A, and A in mathematics, chemistry and physics.
- Alex achieved A, A, A in mathematics, biology and business.
- Thomas achieved A, A and a B in business, history and mathematics and will be studying history at the University of Sheffield.
- Amanuddin secured Distinction*, Distinction*, and a B in applied science, ICT and business and will progress to Lancaster University to study software engineering.
- Theodore achieved Distinction*, Distinction*, and a B in sport studies, ICT and physics and will begin an ICT apprenticeship with Swiftcomm.
- JJ achieved Distinction*, Distinction*, and a B in applied science, ICT and history.
- Michalina secured a place at the University of Nottingham to study psychology, having achieved Distinction*, A, B and a B across health and social care, core mathematics, psychology and business.
