Students and staff at George Salter Academy are celebrating as students collect their A Level and post-16 results today.
Sixth Form students at the school have spent the past two years developing their knowledge, skills and confidence, and are now preparing to take their next steps.
The students’ successes have enabled many to secure places at their chosen universities, on competitive apprenticeships, in further training and into employment, as they prepare to take the next steps in their education and careers.
Among the achievements being celebrated across the school, some standout successes include:
- Antej who achieved three A*s in mathematics, biology and chemistry.
- Tamanna secured A*, A and A in psychology, biology and chemistry and will be studying medicine at the University of Leicester.
- Mohammed secured a place at Imperial College in London to study chemical eEngineering, having achieved A*, A and B in mathematics, chemistry and biology.
- Rayyan will progress to study law at the University of Birmingham after achieving A, A and a Distinction in psychology, sociology and law.
- Sabarish earned A and A in biology and chemistry.
- Jamila achieved an A in history.
- Numan earned an A in psychology.
Students also performed particularly well in vocational subjects including law and business studies, achieving an average score of Distinction.
