The Ormiston Forge Academy community is proudly celebrating its sixth form students as they receive their A-level and post-16 results today.
Students at the school are marking the culmination of two years of academic progress, new experiences and preparation for their next steps.
The students’ successes have enabled 72% of those collecting results to secure places at their chosen universities, with the remaining 28% of sixth form leavers progressing to higher level apprenticeships, further training or employment.
Among the achievements being celebrated across the school, some standout successes include:
- Marcus who secured a level 7 apprenticeship in auditing.
- Lexi who secured a place at Cambridge University, where she will study history.
- Joe who achieved an A* in fine art and art graphics, and an A in criminology. He will study fine art at Loughborough University.
- Libby who received an A* in history, an A in English literature and a B in classics. She will study English literature at the University of Birmingham.
- Hannah who secured an A in biology and psychology, and a B in chemistry. She will study optometry at Aston University.
- Rukaya who received two Distinction* grades and a Distinction in BTEC health and social care. She will study primary education at Birmingham City University.
