A-level and post-16 results day has brought celebrations to Ormiston Rivers Academy, with students marking the completion of their sixth form studies.
Sixth form students at the school have achieved results that reflect their hard work, commitment and resilience over the past two years.
The students’ successes have enabled many to secure places at their chosen universities, on competitive apprenticeships, in further training and into employment, as they prepare to take the next steps in their education and careers.
Among the achievements being celebrated across the school, some standout successes include:
- Theo who achieved three A*’s in chemistry, physics and further mathematics.
- April who secured a Distinction* in music technology and media studies.
- George who received a Distinction* in engineering and an A in mathematics and physics.
- Nathan who achieved an A* in history and mathematics and a B in physics and further mathematics.
Students also performed particularly well in English, history, engineering, music technology, drama, dance and media studies, with these vocational and creative qualifications equipping students with valuable technical and practical skills, and reflecting the opportunities created through the academy’s links with local employers and the wider community.

Building on this success, Jamie Daniels will take up the role of Principal in September, bringing his experience from Ormiston Endeavour Academy in Ipswich, where he has served as Principal since 2018.
