Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy in Walsall are celebrating a proud moment for its Year 11 students as they receive their GCSE results today. This year’s cohort achieved particularly highly in chemistry, physics, sociology and media.
The whole school community has come together today to mark the students’ achievements, hard work and dedication, as they look ahead to the next stage of their education.
While all students have achieved well, some individual outstanding achievements include:
- Subhan who achieved grade 9s in biology, chemistry, English language, English literature, mathematics, further mathematics, history and sociology, a grade 8 in physics and Distinction* in enterprise and media.
- Akemeseg who achieved grade 9 in biology, chemistry, English literature, mathematics, further mathematics, history, physics and physical education, a grade 7 in English language and Distinction in enterprise and media.
- Oliver who achieved grade 9s in biology, chemistry, physics and physical education, grade 8 in English language, mathematics and Spanish, grade 7 in English literature and history, and Distinction* in enterprise.
- Mya who achieved grade 9s in chemistry, computer science and mathematics, grade 8 in biology, physics and physical education, grade 7 in English literature and further mathematics, grade 6 in English language and Distinction in enterprise and engineering.
