Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy students are celebrating today as they receive their A-level and post-16 results and look ahead to the future.
The results reflect the sustained effort, maturity and determination shown by the school’s sixth form students throughout the past two years.
The students’ successes have enabled many to secure places at their chosen universities, on competitive apprenticeships, in further training and into employment, as they prepare to take the next steps in their education and careers.
Among the achievements being celebrated across the school, some standout successes include:
- Caitlyn who achieved an A* in sociology and an A in English literature and history. She will study sociology and criminology at the University of Warwick.
- Oliver who secured a B in physics and mathematics and a Distinction* in computing. He will study mathematics and actuarial science at Leicester University.
- Ruby who received an A in biology, a B in chemistry and a Distinction* in health and social care. She will study pharmacy at Aston University.
Students also performed particularly well in product design, biology, music, sociology and computing.
