Celebrations are under way for students at George Salter Academy, as they collect their A-level results.
The sixth form students are progressing onto a range of exciting next steps, including places at university, coveted apprenticeships and highly skilled employment.
While the academy is celebrating a wide range of successes, they are proud of the achievements of many of their Students Union leaders who represented the academy so well and contributed so much.
These achievements include:
- Kashvi Khanna, who achieved a Distinction * and two A grades and will be studying international development and politics at the University of Birmingham
- Cody Ellis, who achieved an A, two B and a C grade and will be studying history at Kings College, London
- Lewis Gryckiewicz, who achieved two Bs and a C, and will be studying at Oxford Brookes University
- Emily Hunt and Lilly May Timms, who also achieved well and both of whom will be studying at the University of Worcester
The academy is also proud of exceptional achievements from:
- Frahana Mazid, who achieved a Distinction* and two B grades and will be studying social work
- Adil Miah, who achieved three B grades and will be studying mechanical engineering
- Calum Welborn, who achieved an A grade, two B grades and a C grade and will be studying zoology at the University of Sheffield
Adrian Price, Senior Principal said: “We are beyond proud of our students for the results they have achieved today. Each one of them has shown persistence and determination to achieve, and this has been reflected in their successes. I’m very much looking forward to seeing how they all excel in the next stage, whether that be on their selected university course or on a prestigious apprenticeship scheme.”
