City of Norwich School (CNS) has launched its new Alumni Association. This initiative aims to create a global community that links former students and staff with each other and the school, fostering a strong network to support the school’s ongoing goals and enrich the school community.
The Alumni Association will serve as a platform where former students and staff can reconnect, share experiences, and contribute to the school’s development and careers curriculum. Central to this effort are five dedicated alumni ambassadors who will provide guidance and support to fellow alumni and current students. These ambassadors will also play a key role in organising alumni activities and events.
Jo Philpott, Headteacher, said: “We are thrilled to launch the CNS Alumni Association. It’s an excellent way to keep our former students and staff connected, and to build a strong network that benefits everyone involved. We look forward to seeing the community grow and thrive through shared experiences and support.”
The association’s first major event will be the CNS Alumni Garden Party and Family Day set for September. This event promises to be a wonderful opportunity for alumni and their families to celebrate their connection to CNS and engage with the school community.
Helen Spurway, Communications Lead, said: “As a school with a rich and proud history, we take part in Heritage Open Days each September, welcoming the public to explore our extensive archive collection. This year, we saw the perfect opportunity to align this tradition with our very first alumni event. It promises to be a day filled with joy, reflection and connection, and we hope it will be the first of many more events that celebrate our alumni community.”
Former students and staff interested in joining the Alumni Association, becoming an ambassador, or attending upcoming events are encouraged to visit here for more information.
