Ormiston Academies Trust is celebrating an exceptional set of provisional Key Stage 2 results across its schools, with pupils achieving significant improvements across reading, writing and maths, while continuing to outperform national averages.
Across the Trust, 73% of pupils achieved the expected standard or above in reading, writing and maths combined, representing a four-percentage point improvement on 2025 and placing Ormiston 10 percentage points above the national average.
These results are a fantastic achievement for our pupils, staff and school communities across Ormiston Academies Trust.

The results reflect the Trust’s continued focus on delivering high-quality education for every child, with improvements recorded across all three core subjects. In reading, 83% of pupils achieved the expected standard, compared with 77% in 2025 and 75% nationally. Writing increased to 79%, up from 77% last year and six percentage points above the national average, while maths rose to 85%, an increase of six percentage points from 2025 and 10 percentage points above the national figure.
The Trust also saw particularly strong progress among pupils who benefit from additional support. Across Ormiston, 62% of disadvantaged pupils achieved the expected standard, an improvement of more than seven percentage points on 2025. Meanwhile, outcomes for pupils receiving SEN support also improved significantly, with 47% achieving the expected standard, representing an increase of more than 10 percentage points compared with last year.
These results build on the Trust’s commitment to ensuring every child can thrive, demonstrating that sustained improvement is being achieved alongside continued progress in narrowing attainment gaps.
Several Ormiston primary academies also delivered standout performances this year:
- Ormiston Cliff Park Primary Academy strengthened its already strong outcomes, with reading at the expected standard increasing by more than six percentage points to 91%.
- Edward Worlledge Ormiston Academy recorded the strongest improvement across the Trust, increasing the proportion of pupils achieving the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined by nearly 18 percentage points.
- Ormiston Herman Academy sustained its strong performance across all measures while increasing the proportion of pupils achieving greater depth in reading by more than 14 percentage points to over 60%.
- Hunnyhill Ormiston Academy improved combined reading, writing and maths outcomes by eight percentage points, alongside a remarkable 24 percentage point increase in maths following a targeted focus on the subject.
- Ormiston Meadows Academy improved across every measure, with writing increasing by more than 16 percentage points.
- Packmoor Ormiston Academy strengthened outcomes across the core subjects, with reading at the expected standard rising by more than five percentage points.
- Ormiston South Parade Academy maintained its consistently excellent performance, with combined reading, writing and maths results almost 20 percentage points above the national average.
The Trust’s results demonstrate the impact of its collaborative approach, with schools sharing expertise and best practice to drive continuous improvement while ensuring pupils receive the highest quality education, regardless of background or circumstance.
