Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy proud of Year 11 GCSE results

Students and staff at Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy are celebrating together after opening their GCSE results today. 

The academy, part of Ormiston Academies Trust, has shared its pride for the Year 11 students, who have worked exceptionally hard to secure these grades over the past couple of years.

The students are now looking forward to taking their next steps in education, with many progressing onto their A-levels at the academy.

Some of the individual standout achievements include:

  • Eze Chiagozie achieved a grade 9 in biology, grade 8s in mathematics, chemistry and physics and a grade 7 in English literature and language. Eza is returning to the academy’s Sixth Form to study mathematics, chemistry, biology and physics.
  • Erin Carson achieved a grade 9 in English language and drama, a grade 8 in mathematics, and two 7s in English literature and Spanish.
  • Jamie Nickson successfully secured a grade 9 in English language, three grade 8s in mathematics, English literature and Spanish. He will be studying mathematics, physics and music at Bolingbroke’s sixth form.
  • Holly Gilfoyle attained a grade 8 in maths, grade 7 in English literature and science, and two grade 6s in English language and science.
  • Another high achiever was Laylah Crane who achieved two grade 9s in English literature and drama, an 8 in music and a 7 in English language. Talented drama student Laylah will attend the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in September.
  • Michael Howard achieved two grade 8s in English language and literature, grade 7 in maths and chemistry and two grade 6s in biology and physics.
