Students and staff at Ormiston Bushfield Academy are celebrating today after receiving their A-level results, enabling them to secure places at their chosen universities or coveted apprenticeships.
Ormiston Bushfield Academy have achieved some outstanding results which reflect the hard work and commitment shown throughout their studies.
Students across the academy performed well, with some of the individual standout achievements including:
- Charlie achieved A*A*A*A* in chemistry, physics, maths and further maths and is going to Oxford University to study physics.
- Briony secured A*A*A* in English literature and language, history and chemistry, and an A in her EPQ, and is going to Oxford University to read English language and literature.
- Josh walks away with A*A*A in maths, physics and chemistry and an A in her EPQ and in heading to Durham University to study computer science.
- Daisy achieved A* A A in history, geography and maths and is heading to the University of East Anglia to read history.
Dennis Kirwan, principal said: “I am so proud of our students and all that they have done to achieve such great results. The work they have put in is a fantastic display of their strong mindset and determination, both of which form a part of the core values that we as an academy have worked hard to instil. We look forward to celebrating their successes in the years to come.”
Haseena Manji, head of sixth form said: “We are incredibly proud of the tremendous effort and determination of our students, who are now reaping the rewards of their hard work. Many have secured places at some fantastic universities, while others have secured degree apprenticeships, RAF places or their first full time jobs. We wish them all well in their future endeavours.”
