Ormiston Cliff Park Primary Academy opens flourishing nursery

Ormiston Cliff Park Primary Academy has officially opened the doors to its brand new nursery, welcoming children aged 3 and 4 into a vibrant and nurturing environment designed to inspire a love for learning.

To mark the occasion, the academy hosted a grand opening with a ceremonial ribbon cutting, where staff and the Chair of Governors, Mark Thorpe, met with a number of the children and toured the facilities.

The opening of the new provision aims to provide a seamless transition into primary education, ensuring children are well-prepared for their educational journey. With a brand new nursery classroom and facilities, the nursery team have been busy creating a bespoke learning environment which will help encourage curiosity and discovery.

This nursery is a wonderful opportunity to create an inspiring learning environment where children can develop a strong foundation for future success.

Children at the setting are already settling in well and have been happily exploring the new environment. The provision offers flexibility for parents across the local community, with pupils being able to attend either for whole days or for morning or afternoon sessions.

The nursery staff, including the academy’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Lead, Isabel Carter, are looking forward to continuing to work closely with local families to welcome more children into the wonderful new facilities.

Louise Watkins, Principal at Ormiston Cliff Park Primary Academy, said: “We are thrilled to be extending our support to the youngest members of our community and furthering our mission to provide every child with the very best start in life.

“This nursery is a wonderful opportunity to create an inspiring learning environment where children can develop a strong foundation for future success. It also strengthens our vision to provide high-quality education that benefits not just pupils but also their families.”

Mark Thorpe, Chair of Governors at Ormiston Cliff Park Primary Academy, said: “The launch of our new nursery is a very exciting moment for our academy and the wider community. By investing in early years education, we are ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive. I look forward to seeing the provision continue to grow.”
