Jack at Forge celebrates a great set of results

Ormiston Forge Academy proud of students’ GCSE accomplishments

There is plenty to celebrate at Ormiston Forge Academy today as Year 11 students receive their GCSE results and consider the opportunities ahead.

The school, which is in Cradley Heath and part of Ormiston Academies Trust, is celebrating the achievements of its students, who have shown resilience and ambition throughout their studies and are now preparing to take their next steps in education, training or employment.

This year’s cohort achieved improved outcomes in English, mathematics and science, with particularly strong performances in religious studies and computer science. The average grade in English and mathematics was a grade 4, with the number of students achieving at least a grade 7 increasing again this year.

Our Year 11 students have approached their studies with determination and resilience, and these results are a reflection of the effort they have put in over many years.

The whole school community has come together today to mark the students’ achievements, hard work and dedication, as they look ahead to the next stage of their education.

While all students have achieved well, some individual achievements include:

  • Romana who achieved five grade 9s and three grade 8s.
  • Maya who secured six grade 9s, a grade 8 and a grade 7.
  • Jack who received five grade 9s, two grade 8s and a grade 6.
  • Souad who achieved four grade 9s, three grade 8s and a grade 7.

At Ormiston Forge Academy, the values of resilience, aspiration and respect are at the heart of everything it does. The school is committed to providing a broad, knowledge-rich education that enables every student to aim high, embrace new opportunities and achieve their full potential.  As part of Ormiston, the school is dedicated to providing the highest quality education and ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, gains the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.

Lisa Mason, Principal at Ormiston Forge Academy, said:

“Today is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students. They have approached their studies with determination and resilience, and these results are a reflection of the effort they have put in over many years.

“As our students take their next steps into sixth form, college, apprenticeships and employment, they leave with much to be proud of. We wish them every success and look forward to seeing where their ambitions take them.”

The academy will also be welcoming students back in September as they continue their studies at its popular sixth form, alongside welcoming new students from across the local area.
