Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy hosts awards evening celebrating student success

Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy, proudly hosted its inaugural awards evening, bringing together students, families, staff and members of the local community to celebrate the outstanding achievements of students.

The special event marked a memorable evening of recognition, shining a spotlight on the hard work, dedication and successes of students across the school. More than 120 students were honoured during the evening, with awards presented across a range of categories including academic achievement and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Simon Leach, Principal of Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy, said: “This evening was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the incredible achievements of our students and celebrate the character, determination and ambition they demonstrate every day. Our young people continue to inspire us with their commitment to learning, and it was fantastic to share this special moment with their families and our wider community.”

The celebration was attended by distinguished guests including the Mayor of Erewash, Hary Atkinson, and local MP Adam Thompson, who joined the academy in recognising the achievements of its students and highlighting the importance of education within the local community.

The evening also featured performances from talented students, adding to the celebratory atmosphere and showcasing the creativity and confidence of young people across the academy.
