Trustee
Hilary is the CEO of Ambition Institute, which provides professional development to teachers and leaders, particularly those serving the most disadvantaged children. Since March 2019, Ambition has worked with over 100,000 teachers and with more than half of all schools in the country.
Prior to joining Ambition as CEO in 2019, Hilary worked in education policy, professional development and equalities — including the positions of Director of Strategy and a member of the DfE Board, as head of Civil Service Learning, and leading the Government Equalities Office. Hilary helped establish an outstanding secondary school in Lambeth and is an experienced school governor and trustee.
