National Director of Infrastructure and Sustainability
James leads infrastructure across Ormiston. His portfolio includes ICT, estates, health and safety, procurement, and data compliance, helping to equip schools with everything they need to deliver an excellent education. He is responsible for facilities management and our building life-cycling strategy, maintaining our £1b+ estate, and for driving best value from purchasing goods and services.
Outside of his role, James is the founder and chair of The Trust Network, set up in 2014 as a national peer support organisation for estates managers across state-funded schools.
Prior to joining Ormiston in 2010, he held a range of roles at Becta, integrating ICT in education in collaboration with the Department for Education.
