Students at Cliff Park Ormiston Academy celebrate GCSE success

Students and staff at Cliff Park Ormiston Academy are celebrating today as Year 11 students collect their GCSE results and look ahead to their next steps.

The school is celebrating the achievements of its students, who have shown resilience and ambition throughout their studies and are now preparing to take their next steps in education, training or employment.

This year’s cohort achieved particularly highly in science, mathematics, English, art, sociology, and many of our vocational subjects, with a number attaining Grade 9 in mathematics, science, English and history.

We are incredibly proud of what our students have achieved, not only in headline grades, but in the quiet determination, character, and personal growth they have shown along the way.

The whole school community has come together today to mark the students’ achievements, hard work and dedication, as they look ahead to the next stage of their education.

While all students have achieved well, some individual achievements include:

  • Oscar secured five grade 9s in English language, mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics, as well as three grade 8s in English literature, geography and religious education.
  • Isla received two grade 9s in English language and sociology, and six grade 8s across art, combined science, English literature, history, media studies and religious education.
  • Marley attained a grade 9 in mathematics, on top of six grade 8s in English language, further mathematics, history, biology, chemistry and physics.

Cliff Park Ormiston Academy is proud to be a school where every child is known, supported, and encouraged to be ambitious for themselves, for their community, and for their futures. As part of Ormiston, the school is dedicated to providing the highest quality education and ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, gains the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.

“As a school that strives for Excellence Every Day, we are incredibly proud of what our students have achieved, not only in headline grades, but in the quiet determination, character, and personal growth they have shown along the way. These outcomes are the product of a true team effort, including students who have worked with enthusiasm and perseverance; staff who have given their time, care and expertise; and their families, who have provided the consistent encouragement and belief that underpins success. Congratulations to all of our students. We look forward to seeing what they go on to achieve and to building on this success with the next generation in the year ahead.”
