Teachers celebrate GCSE results with students at Ormiston Meridian Academy

Students and staff at Ormiston Meridian Academy have joined together to celebrate their GCSE results today after all the hard work of the past two years.

The academy is very pleased to celebrate this year’s GCSE results with the Year 11 students, who are now preparing to take their next steps in education or toward their future careers.

Alongside the continued success of the academy, some of the individual standout achievements include:

  • Charles Mogbo who achieved four grade 9s in chemistry, English literature, mathematics and further mathematics. He plans to continue his studies at Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form, then has aspirations to attend Cambridge to study mathematics or sciences.
  • Charley Knights plans to become an accountant after her A-levels at Saint Joseph’s College and then university. Charley achieved 9s in business, history and mathematics as well as a plethora of grade 8s in other subjects.
  • Zarmeen Naveed secured 9s in French and English literature and was also awarded the top grade in BTEC hospitality and catering. She is going to continue with mathematics, biology and chemistry before hopefully attending Cambridge University and then embarking on a career in science.
