CNS appointed as lead school for Music for Norfolk & Suffolk Music Hub

City of Norwich School (CNS) has proudly been appointed as lead school for Music by Norfolk & Suffolk Music Hub.

Following a rigorous selection process, CNS is one of a select group of schools across Norfolk and Suffolk chosen to take on this important leadership role.

The Norfolk & Suffolk Music Hub is a partnership of organisations and schools working together to ensure that all children and young people have access to high-quality music education and opportunities to engage with music making. The latest initiative brings together schools across Norfolk and Suffolk to champion music opportunity through working together to develop high-quality curricula, support teacher development, and create accessible pathways for pupils passionate about music.

As a lead school, CNS will work closely with the Music Hub to support other schools by modelling excellent practice, offering training and mentoring to teachers and promoting inclusive musical pathways for students. The school will also play a key role in championing local music activities and ensuring that music remains a vibrant part of school life for children and young people across Norfolk and Suffolk.

The appointment, which runs until August 2026, recognises CNS’ exceptional music education offer, outstanding commitment to delivering high-quality music education and its dedication to enriching opportunities for young people across the region.

CNS has a long tradition of musical excellence and is committed to ensuring that every student can experience the benefits that music brings – from developing creativity and resilience to fostering confidence and community spirit.

City of Norwich School is looking forward to working closely with the Hub and partner schools, continuing its mission to inspire, empower and achieve through music.
