Ormiston Latimer welcomes new Principal dedicated to inclusive education for all

Ormiston Latimer Academy in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, has welcomed experienced leader Grant Monaghan as its new Principal.

Grant joins the academy, an alternative provision (AP) setting, from his previous role as Headteacher at Horizons Academy Bexley where he was instrumental in improving school operations, the quality of education, and student well-being.

Throughout his time at the academy, he was committed to delivering better academic outcomes and creating a positive environment where both students and staff could thrive.

In his new position at Ormiston Latimer Academy,Grant is looking forward to leading the academy into its next exciting chapter, supported by his dedication to making a difference to students’ lives. 

As part of the recruitment, Grant shared his vision for the future, focusing on a key mission of raising aspirations and championing inclusivity throughout the academy, whilst ensuring that all children can access a high-quality education, no matter their background. 

Grant has taken over from Interim Principal Nasrin Islam, who remains a key part of the senior leadership team at the academy, and whose commitment and exceptional leadership over the past few months has ensured the academy is in an excellent position to continue on this upward trajectory.

Furthermore, the Trust has also welcomed Dan Cundy as Senior Principal for Ormiston London AP, including Latimer. Dan has held a number of leadership roles, latterly as executive principal in an inner London trust. He brings a wealth of experience to support Grant alongside Ormiston’s other alternative provision academies to deliver the best education and raise the aspirations of every student.

The entire academy community has been very welcoming of both Grant and Daniel and are looking forward to an exciting year ahead.
