A year ago, we embarked on an exciting journey, transforming The OAKS into Ormiston Teacher Training. This evolution marked a pivotal moment in our mission to prepare the next generation of teachers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make a difference in classrooms across the country.
Our initial teacher training (ITT) programme, in partnership with the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT), is a fully immersive school-centred programme – aspiring teachers will be in the classroom from the very start. Our trainees are fully supported; they each have a dedicated mentor and core training once a week with the Ormiston Teacher Training team.
We’re also celebrating another milestone in that journey: the launch of our brand-new Ormiston Teacher Training website. This platform represents more than just a digital home; it’s a resource hub designed to guide aspiring teachers through every step of their training journey.
