Students and staff at City of Norwich School (CNS) have been recognised for their commitment to creating an inclusive culture and ensuring wellbeing of all students.
CNS underwent a rigorous evaluation of their inclusivity work by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, which praised them with a Gold status award.
The process included submitting a full-school audit, a detailed student questionnaire, and evidence-based case studies which will now be shared as examples of best practice for other schools in their work to prevent bullying.
CNS was in the top tier of applicants, with only 11% achieving Gold, the highest standard available, out of nearly 300 schools which completed the programme.
This means the academy has been recognised as having a strong focus on equality across its education and support, encouraging all students to challenge their assumptions, listen to new ideas, and learn from others to be united against bullying.
Going forward, the academy is looking forward to building on this success to continue embedding a focus on inclusion and wellbeing across its community.
